Report from Jenn,
Despite a Nor’easter and colder than usual weather, (it is snowing), I had some brave folks come over, visit, and learn about our “Sanctuary” project. I talked with two women interested in building a Tiny House themselves and they were excited to learn that this was something that they could possibly do, given commitment, planning, and some financial support.
The solar electric is working brilliantly now that I replaced a cracked panel, and yes it was covered (for the most part), now if only the sun would come out. Honestly, I am grateful for some quiet studio time and for the friendship of Jennifer Rugg and her sister Jill who invited me in for chile, cornbread and hot apple cider. They were participating in Open Studios too I don’t want to forget that yesterday Martha came over and brought me a hot chocolate, perfect timing. I am also grateful for other Roslindale neighbors who have come by to say hello and tell me about Mayor Menino’s funeral which happened today, a significant loss for Boston. What a nice community of people!
