Sanctuary is really coming together. Like the pioneers we are working against time to make sure we are all buttoned up and in working order before the winter sets in. We got three Roof vents in this week and the doors made and hung. The pull out workbench with three drawers is together and awaiting paint. Once that is done we can install it on its massive drawer tracks. Jenn and I conducted more experiments this week about our solar heater/ hot water heater. We will use 1” copper pipe inside recycled soda cans. We have calculated that the pipes will hold over a gallon of water. This will get mixed with cold water to provide the means to clean up after art projects, paint brushes, containers etc…
I had the honor of giving a presentation at Mass Art this week. It was really great to go back to where all these ideas first percolated and get some perspective. After the slide presentation we both answered students questions about our projects and the act of collaborating.
Working on the trailer, giving a presentation, preparing for Turning Around Boston, and preparation for the opening of my show this Monday has made this the Tasmanian Devil of weeks.
