I love to begin a project. One month ago I sat in a lawn chair looking at the bare bed of the trailer and imagined in my minds eye what Sanctuary would look like when it was done. I can honestly say what is in the driveway today is different than my minds picture. It is very exciting to see the changes each day. There is also a place where you get to in the middle of a project when you are overwhelmed. We reached that place yesterday. We are trying to keep up with a schedule and have fallen a little behind our mark. We decided to talk to local roofers and entertained the idea of having someone else put on our rubber roof. I called Tom Hewitt of Boston Rubber Roof Company roof. What a great guy! He showed up this morning with his two colleagues and put the roof up for the price of materials. It is this kind of kindness that really propels us to complete this project. After they left we were re-energized to keep going at full speed.
Turning Around America sincerely thanks the Boston Rubber Roof Company, Tom Hewitt, Eddie Irizarry, and John Greenwell.
