How did you curve the wood for the roof?

    • Hi Diane, We had our freind Greg CNC cut it out of plywood. We did not even have a place big and flat enough to jury rig a compass big enough. I figured the curve on paper and he had his computer cut the pieces. We saved two sheets of ply because the computer could cut exact. When we brought them back we carefully glued and stapled sets of two together to get the 1 1/2 we needed. I am on my way to get some sheathing this morning. Beth

It’s not possible to see in the photos but I hope that you add some metal brackets to those roof trusses to attach them to the walls. I grew up where only nails where needed but code is changing on this issue (think Andrew in Homestead). And you may get some strong winds from driving…

It’s fun to watch your progress! You go girl(s)…

    • Hi Dennis,
We have metal Angle bracketts on both sides. I can honestly say that we are way over building. When the sheathing goes on we will glue it to the studs thus forming a torsion box, the same with the roof. It is really exciting. We are thankful that people are following the progress and making comments. If we miss something all of you will see it.
