JULY 30, 2012

What a great week. I was just a bit nervous of where I would stay when I crossed over the Canadian border at Portage , but there were  camp parks in every village on the highway for only 10 or 15 dollars. The prairies were gorgeous and peaceful. It was like navigating an ocean of golden grain, yellow and purple flowers. I arrived in Saskatoon on Thursday for the Saskatoon Woodturning Symposium. I parked my van at the home of Grace paterson. She was wonderful and made my stay in Saskatoon feel like being at home. The symposium was informative and I met many wonderful people. This morning we head to Emma Lake, an artist collaborative in the Boreal Forest of Saskatchewan. I am excited to see what comes of the week. Here are some pictures of my trip.
