I love collaboration. It has been so much fun being here with Rob for a month. The Collaboration has encompassed work and living. Last night we had a conversation about our aches and pains. Rob had an arm thing, and I had a neck pain. When we got up this morning we had taken on each others discomforts during the night. While having coffee he told me that he was having a neck crick. I told him I was having a wrist ache. We laughed about our pain collaboration. It is interesting to work with Rob. He has insight about woodworking, daily life and people that affect how I am thinking. When I am stuck about a detail on some piece he looks at it thoughtfully and gives me great ideas. I do the same for him. Although my shop is not cloistered away in the wilderness , I do work alone often. Working with Jenn on Turning Around America, participating at ITE and being here with Rob has shown me that this is the way I would like to work from now on.
