JANUARY 7, 2010

Yesterday we went into the local hills to an unmarked archeological site. It was probably where the Pima indians spent a certain part of the year. There were worn mortar pots ground into the stone cliff looking out over the desert. The desert honey bees now occupy them.I looked  out over the landscape and imagined how it must have looked in ancient times. We found some petroglyphs carved into the walls of the wash. The desert was beautiful. On our way to the site we stopped at the taco Ladies stand. We got a Sonoran hot dog for 2.50 and a taco plate for 3.25. Here is my day in pictures. Tomorrow I leave for California.
