If I were to write a book about my time in Philadelphia I would have to entitle it Still Life. I like being in one place so I can work in a shop again , but I miss traveling in the van. Last week I and my fellow ITE participants went to Washington Dc for a couple of days. We met some wonderful people who showed us their woodturning collections. We also went to three museums. It was inspiring and exhausting. It was really strange to travel in a vehicle with four other people, as I have become used to traveling alone. We all had a wonderful time,but were anxious to get back to Philadelphia to get some work done. I have jumped into a new piece that is inspired by the all that is happening around me. I will share pictures of it when it takes shape. Meanwhile here are some pictures from our trip.
